Campaign Description

Established in 1994 by Men's Health Network, Men's Health Month runs throughout June and includes International Men's Health Week (June 15–21, 2026, leading into Father's Day). It encourages men and boys to prioritize physical and mental wellbeing through preventive screenings for conditions like heart disease, prostate cancer, and depression.

Theme Focus

“Partners in Care: For Better Lifespans Across the Lifespan” focuses on the idea that improving men’s health is not solely the responsibility of individual men. Families, friends, communities, healthcare professionals, workplaces and other care partners can make it easier for men and boys to prevent illness, recognize health problems early, seek appropriate care and maintain healthier lives.

The theme also recognizes that men's health needs change across the life course. Supporting boys and young men to establish healthy habits, helping adults engage with preventive care, and ensuring older men can maintain health, independence and quality of life are all part of improving lifespans across the lifespan.

Key Priorities

  • Encourage men and boys to take an active role in their health.
  • Strengthen supportive relationships around men's physical and mental health.
  • Promote preventive care and early detection.
  • Encourage men to seek healthcare before problems become advanced.
  • Address barriers that make healthcare difficult or uncomfortable to access.
  • Support healthy behaviors across different stages of life.
  • Improve men's mental-health awareness and help-seeking.
  • Promote healthy relationships, fatherhood and family involvement.
  • Strengthen community-based approaches to men's health.
  • Make healthcare services more responsive to men's needs.
  • Address social and economic factors affecting men's health.
  • Reduce stigma surrounding vulnerability, illness and help-seeking.
  • Encourage workplaces, sports organizations and community groups to support men's health.
  • Improve health literacy so men can make informed decisions about their care.
  • Recognize that improving men's health benefits families and communities as well as individual men.
