Campaign Description

World Alzheimer's Month raises awareness about Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. The campaign promotes understanding, early recognition, support for people living with dementia, and greater support for caregivers and families.

The 2026 global campaign, spearheaded by Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI), puts a critical spotlight on the importance of timely dementia diagnosis. The campaign is specifically designed to:

  • Tackle persistent low awareness surrounding the early warning signs of cognitive decline.
  • Confront the deep-rooted stigma and social discrimination that frequently prevent people from seeking medical help.
  • Empower individuals and families by emphasizing that an early diagnosis provides answers, unlocks access to essential treatments, and allows more time to plan for the future.
