World Lung Cancer Day is an annual global awareness campaign dedicated to increasing understanding of lung cancer, promoting prevention through tobacco control and clean air initiatives, encouraging early detection and timely diagnosis, supporting equitable access to treatment, and improving outcomes for people living with lung cancer.
“Together through Lung Cancer” focuses on the fact that lung cancer affects more than the individual diagnosed with the disease. Patients, caregivers, families, advocates, healthcare professionals and support communities can all have important roles throughout the cancer journey. The campaign emphasizes connection, shared experience, reliable information and support, with the message that people affected by lung cancer do not have to face it alone.
