2026 Theme

"Celebrating Life. Raising Awareness. Inspiring Hope"

Campaign Representation

Officially represented by the Purple Ribbon.

Campaign Description

Cancer Survivors Day, observed annually on the first Sunday in June, is a global Celebration of Life that honors everyone living with a history of cancerβ€”from the moment of diagnosis onward. The day celebrates the resilience of cancer survivors, raises awareness of the ongoing physical, emotional, financial, and social challenges of survivorship, and advocates for greater support, research, and resources to improve quality of life.

Theme Focus

Unlike many awareness campaigns, National Cancer Survivors Day does not adopt a new annual theme. Instead, it is guided by its enduring message: "Celebrating Life. Raising Awareness. Inspiring Hope."

The 2026 observance continues to focus on celebrating the achievements and resilience of cancer survivors, inspiring hope for those newly diagnosed, recognizing the vital role of families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, and drawing attention to the lifelong challenges of cancer survivorship while advocating for better survivorship care and support.
