Lymphoma

Lymphoma is a cancer arising from lymphocytes or other cells of the lymphatic and immune systems.

Lymphomas are broadly divided into Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, with many subtypes within each group. They commonly involve lymph nodes but can affect other tissues and organs.

Symptoms can include enlarged lymph nodes, fever, night sweats, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, or symptoms related to the affected organs.

QUICK FACT

Lymphoma is not simply “cancer of the lymph nodes”; lymphoid cancers can develop outside lymph nodes as well.
